Seems blizzard are on the out with the South Korean e-sports over the lack of LAN support that's going to cost them the big portion of the market right there.

Just to explain the whole dot "." thing, you choose your main alias that you always use (in my case Scythe) and then you need to put in a second alias or word that will let people know which Scythe it is. During normal games it only shows me as Scythe, id imagine if I play another Scythe it will have the whole name and if you were to search for friends.

The game plays very well and has a familiar feel to it. I haven't had any see-saw or even games just yet, it seems that if you manage to gain the upper hand that is all you need and vise versa.

It's an eye opener when you attempt to devise a "rush" only to "rush" to their base and they have tier 3 units. Games tend to last for about 20 or so minutes either with low or high tier units.

20mins? Mine mostly last 10-15 lol. I play too agressive and attack b4 letting them tech too high. My biggest problem atm is countering void rays, seems you only need 4 or so to smash me lol.

Most of the maps are pretty well balanced for 1v1. I havent tried a game on a massive scale, (8 player, 12 plater etc)
The game definately plays faster than the old starcraft. which imo is a good thing. Games are pretty intense with shit blowing up in the 5 first mins of each game.

but yes your right about the upper hand, especially in the lower game leagues, I'm sure ist a bit different once you get to gold or platinum league

have only played a few novice games of 2v2, where ppl don't know how to rush so matchs went between 30 mins to an hour. Just trying to learn all the new tech's and units.

what i'm told is that blizz will gradually open up the maps with more players, but currently they just wanna see small games, 1v1 and 2v2 to test the balance between races.

On a side note the graphics look pretty sweet with everything on ultra.

was about to buy this through eb online so i could play the beta over the weekend, but eb are saying no new beta keys until monday. oh well next pay maybe..

though warehouse was saying its barely been working for him at all :/
did the patch/reinstall fix it?

True, I have had many issues getting to run consistently as it keep crashing on the loading screen. Uninstalling it and Reinstalling it and then copying the patch files into the game so it doesn't download them again seems to get it working, at least till i restart my computer so many it's not writing to the registry properly and running out of RAM, but i dunno.

Though I'm getting annoyed at the time it takes to reinstall, some times it's still worth it for a few games.

I have not had any issues with the install so far. I guess blizz needs ur feedback haha.

Got this game the other day, got placed into my leagues, got put in Gold league for 1v1 and Silver for 2v2.

Enjoying the game a lot, much much fun.

I was put into bronze and have since then moved to silver in 1v1. Scythe and I are Gold in 2v2

Havnt been able to play it much tho recently. I should be able to advance into gold quite soon as I've been winning quite alot in silver.

I'm pretty surprised with getting into gold league. Kinda sucks with the 2v2 league when you play with some other random who disconnects within 5 minutes of the game, or is just plain bad at the game, so it becomes 2v1. Other then that, loving this.

Looks like the ranking has been reset since the last patch and blizz have added more leagues

platium
gold
silver
bronze

the friends system also needs email addresses instead of character tags now.

yeh i noticed all this,
stats were reset with the new changes to leagues. I started playing zerg for the first time and got placed into diamond lol.
I seem to have alot of fun with banelings.

ah, i think ya missed that promo mate :P but it still might be worth going to eb and trying ur luck.

also note the beta is now down while they make alot of changes (most are hardware based im assuming) Beta will be back up a couple of weeks b4 release again tho. (release is 27th of july)
