(This can be one of those review type dealios where I tell you not to buy a game)
So, I rented Resident Evil 4, to give it a try, it looked awesome, and I played it on PS2 once, that was good.
You get into the game, after being forced through a bunch of pointless cinematics, then you go to move and.... "WTF My mouse doesn't work!" Ok, so you check the plugs for your mouse, then realise something deadly. On PS2, the aiming was also movement meaning... No... Mouse... Support. :o
Ok, so you find out that Shift is aim and enter is shoot. you aim at a nearby crow, shoot it, then for some reason theres a flashy thing protruding from its corpse. You walk up to it, and it says to press 3 to pick it up. You tap 3 wildly, trying to pick up mr flashy thing. No luck.
At this point I closed the game, checked for an answer on the interwebz. It turns out, that rather than just say what button to push, it has numbers, and numbers indicate a key. Enter is 1, and it goes on.
As for no mouse aiming, there is a mod so you can use the mouse, but its useless. The harder you move your mouse, the slower it aims. So the smaller movements do more than big movements. Makes sense.
It has some good points, but you just can't get past these massive crippling problems.
I'm no pessimist, but this thing is terrible.
Don't buy it, don't even leech it, waste of time and HDD space.
It gets a 2/10 from me...
Elaborate?
