k, i know what your thinking already, DBZ.. big whoop..
A few days back I got my own Wii, and being a DBZ fan, picked this up too.. The simplest thing to say for this game is.. Awesome..
Controlling it is where this goes from being some normal arcade beat em up to something totally new.. It is just totally immersing, everything you do, from moving your left hand (with the nunchuck) to a button mash leads to something on the screen , and more often than not, combinations of both is what is needed.
A good example here would be Goku's Blast wave (kaemahemaea or something like that). You charge up, push both the top buttons on the nunchuck and Wii Mote (feels like your clenching your fists kinda) move your hand back and push it forwards. Bam, huge mofo blast wave shooting towards the other guy!
Want a spirit bomb? Charge it up and point the Wii mote off the screen, and bring it down! It just feels like it should!
The graphics perfectly compliment the cartoon and are cell shaded, if a bit shiny at times and the blasts also look sweet, big and level terrain. And the worlds look spot on too.
Also, unlike other Arcade games, you get to play the story.. And after almost 2 days non stop playing it with Axol, as well as being really challenging, we are only 23% done!
All up, the Wii is the best thing I have seen so far. Well worth its money. And this game just enforces it.
