What servers should we have ready to run at MorB 4 ?????????

Servers I'd like to See:-

Half-life servers with Mods => NS, DoD.

UT with mods Inf and 3rd Riech

UT2003

BF 1942

MoH:AA

Operation Flashpoint : Resistance (1.90)

Jedi Knight

Quake 3 with mods : Navy seals

SoF2

Americas Army.

Anything missing ??????

Apart from that there are alot of FPS, any thoughts on some suitable RTS. Haave not had a chance to play the latest stuff like Age of Mythology yet, hell im still playing Dungeon Keeper.

Hate to disappoint, but most RTS games are run on one of the player's machines. :) Don't worry though, I'm keen for a big game of Age of Myth...

anyhoo, thats a massive list of servers, this is more one of those typical "whawt game do u want to play" threads, we can serve what we are capable of, and atm, thats alot :D

but i think if there was a possibility of DEDICATED INSANE 32 PLAYER SERVERS.... i would sooooo do that.
but alas we cannot

That server list looks pretty complete to me, though I would have left off DoD (get over it, Rocket :P)

We gotta have Medal of honour AA spearhead goin that addon craps all over mohaa multi play. and whats these mods for ut? 3rd reich sounds ok

yes, you mohaa players usually drag me into a game, not too hard to run a server for that so yer..

Hmm... I've got a couple of console commands that will need to be entered into the Bf1942 server (or changed in the GUI config thing) but i'd rather not reveal them publically :) (anyone seen those movies with ppl tnt jumping?)

Spearhead does look cool indead. I only just installed it and had a look at the new DM maps - sweet. Plus, there is actually a decent map list setup thank christ!
I am definitely intending to own you all in Spearhead at Morb4. Grrrr.

So does that mean you can actually choose maplists easily and have random maps??

no random maps i think but you can create a map rotation list by clicking on a list of all your maps instead of typing them all out. God that was annoying if you wanted to change your list.

sounds like a definite step in the right direction, is that an in-game server launcher, or separate util?

i wouldnt mind some team games of mohaa sp you can do objective maps first team to finish all their objectives wins and you destroy spawn points to stop players respawnin, mabe we could organise a few clan wars..?

well I for one would really like to see a Medal of honor Spearhead dedicated server rarther than a Allied Assult server ;)

well i ran a BF1942 server (v1.2) at lanx so that is all go, got moh spearhead, yet to check it out, but as long as the ded.launching process is the same, then all sh9ould be fine as i have a mohaa server setup n ready, plenty of ready-to-deploy servers, just a matter of dropping them ontp the right machines

p3 733, 384Mb RAM, TNT2, 20gig HDD...

that's the old **** box, u want me to bring it sks? it runs DOD/CS/NS well... might as well use it for them and keep your l33t machines for the power hungry UT, BF, and other things of the like

we tried to get soldsat going at lanx, there were about 6 ppl playin it at the most...so meh, wotever interests u...

fair enough.. but NAMish peoples are lame enough to play soldat..

I used to play it heaps multiplayer-wise and thought it was great.

Dunno about everybody else though...

it was a while ago but i remember that the singleplayer story line was actually really funny, ive ben gettin into heaps of old games latley for some reason.... ultima ix, double dragon 3 rescue embasy mission

I'd rather see ppl play neverwinter nights over diablo 2. it's a better game for lanning (Hmmm if we only had a DMaster for it)

thanks for your input jumpman, we will be runnin a BF1942 server, and i have provisions ready to run a CS server should someone want a clan war, the other games a peer-peer so they arent in need of a server, but well worth posting interest in playin them.

and DC=yes (of course) **cough** its purely for allowing access to critical game updates **cough**

All the patches and mods will be easy avalible from the LAN.

My suggestion to people would be to get Quake 3, Half life, Unreal Tounament and Unreal Tornament 2003 installed prior to the LAN to save time. Fully legit versions of AA:O will be avaible FOR FREE (Arn't we generous) at MorB 4. If u already have AA:O i suggest Downloading ur player jacket before coming to MorB.
