ok this will be quick

I just spent the last 3 weeks playing with pre-rc1 and rc1.

It is a nice os and being i am a tux person that is hard for me to say but i did like the way it navigated and looked.

However here i sit on windows xp why you may ask well becouse for some reason between pre-rc1 and rc1 microshaft screwd up how it handles sata and i was crashing all over the place (ether that or my sata controller is dying i am not sure yet)

but for those that want to try vista go download it from any availible torrent site enter the key then when it says you have to activate try to activate if it fails call the toll free number and bullshit ya way through i have done it about 6 times now =)

anyways final conclusion nice system if microshaft can keep it clean.

I've just received my copy yesterday, installed the 64bit edition and I am quite surprised how well it is working (compared to Beta 2).

As yet I haven't installed any additional drivers (they are downloading though - dial-up grrr  ). It does run a little slow my guess is my on-board 6150 with only 1 GB shared DDR SDRAM is not quite up to the task and maybe once the drivers are loaded it "may" improve a small amount.

So far though rock-solid and very pretty. The interface is taking a little bit of working through but for the most part old-school methods of getting from A to B still work.

Hopefully final release will be a fair margin better again.
