View Full Version : X-Men 3: The last stand (spoiler)
O.k so i went and saw x-men 3 last night and i have to say that i am very disappointed in it. there is so many mistakes in the characters, such as phonix being and alternate personality of jean, spike being on the brotherhood, and others cant remember them all at the moment.
I dont think that they will be making and x-men 4 now with 3 of their main characters gone, (jean, scott, and professor X) with those 3 gone there isnt much of a character base for the next movie if there is one and there isnt that many villans that they could use apart from Apocalypse that they could use. because magneto isnt viable because he was "cured". altho they did set it up at the end that he was getting his powers back.
anyway thats my little rant about it. so let me know what u thought about the movie
didnt it come out the 25th ?
well i saw it on the day of opening and i have to say, it was ok.......... well shit.... the effects were awesome, but the story plot was a bit shit..even for X-men.
i wouldnt go and see it a 2nd time, but i would see x-men 2 a second time :)
p.s... KaMaKaZi_KiNg did you watch the end end of the film, as in... did you see the professor lying in the hospital bed, saying to the nurse, its going to be ok...so really he didnt die!!
nah i didnt stay till the end end. I hate it when they put stuff on right at the end of the credits i never stay long enuff to see them. x-men 1 and 2 i love i have watch them each prolly about 10 times through plus all of the extras on x-men 1.5 and x-men 2.
just a question if professor x lived after being vaporised by jean does that mean that scott could have??
Its possible... since after all they are favourite character, and fav characters cant die :)
i reckon they might make a x-men 4.. but i hope not, cos the story will just drag on :)
they should have stopped at x-men 2 :)
i agree with you there. they should have stoped after x-men 2.
I didn't mind the movie, the Danger Room scene where Wolvie and Colossus fastball special the sentinel was good, it's a pity there weren't more of them in the movie. I was expecting it after seeing Trask. I think they did a pretty good job on Beast, Kelsey Grammer was definately a good choice for the role and they even had him say "oh my stars and garters" lol. It's good to see Wolvie kicking some ass after beeing beaten up by Mystique and Lady Deathstrike in the previous movies. I mean since when was a trained martial artist/former soldier/former government covert ops agent/product of the Canadian super soldier program/mutant with enhanced senses and reflexes get kicked around so easily???
I think they are trying to keep the X universe as simple as possible for the movies so the uninitiated don't get too confused. Hence they keep altering things such as Lady Deathstrike being a mutant instead of a cyborg, Pheonix being an alternate personality instead of a powerful extraterrestrial being that inhabits Jean, and Juggernaut being a mutant who needs to gain momentum to be unstoppable instead of a human fueled my the magical powers of the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak and being unstoppable full stop. While I understand the reasoning behind the changes they still kinda suck.
I noticed a few posters about of Angel in an X-Men uniform which was totally crap, he didn't wear one for the whole movie. In fact he hardly did anything, serving only as an explaination of his fathers motivation to "cure" mutants. I was also very disappointed there was no stand off between Colossus and Juggernaut. It would have been an awesome fight and given their powers would have made sense. Though it was good to see Iceman take on Pyro (and finally ice-up) they could have done so much more with that fight.
I must have missed the part where Xavier was showed alive, damn me for leaving during the credits!!! Though I'm not surprised, characters in comics often return from being dead, Xavier has done it himself before, most of the X-Men have. And finally Kamakazi, they could never run out of villans, there are hundreds of them in the Marvel Universe and the X-Men have fought most of them at some time.
Slightly off topic - I was reading about the latest Spiderman comic... in which he unmasked himself in public. Apparently it was passed as law that all super heroes had to reveal their secret identities... This split the heroes into two camps - those that were happy to do it (like Spidey) and those that weren't (Capt America, etc). Sounded interesting..
