View Full Version : MorB 4
MorB 4 preparations begin :D
okay first things first, needa pick a date, i _was_ going to have 2nd w/end of January, but it seems that Big Day In beat me to it :(
So the choice is 4-5 January, or 18-19 Jan (2003)
vote away. Im not sure of exactly when the school holidays fall in that mix, but if some1 knows that'd be good, anyhoo, let see wot ppl reckon
Interesting idea.. As long as there is aircon at the venue, I'm there. :) I believe school starts on the 27th (unless that's when they put the Australia Day Holiday).
I'd probably have to opt more for the 4-5th, because it will be the end of my holidays. But that's just me.
Air con for sure! imagine the heat 60+ PCs in one room running in the middle of summer would put out....
Any dates good for me and probably the rest of LOTD cause we don't have jobs and wouldn't have any classes till Feb/March.
4-5th sounds good to me
That's right, we're all professional bums.
so i guess its decided
4/5th january it is
Sweeeet! So what you got planned for this thrilling installment in the continuing saga of Morb LANs??
18th 19th would be good =D I'll be in thialand getting blown to bits with 15 yr old prostitutes on on the 4/5 up until the 16th anyway

does ur mum know u talk like that???
ne way id rather 18/19 coz i need time 2 sober up after xmas/ new year :D
one thing i have noticed about the MorB LANs is that hardly anyone is making mods to their box
just a suggestion that there be a best looking box comp??
what do u think?
The very reason you suggest we need that competition is the reason that it doesn't run, there simply aren't enough mods around yet - but it's getting there. There may well be a best looking box comp at MorB 4, and if there is it will most likely be decided on the day, not in advance - it will depend on the showing of mods.
my computer would win anyway :P
I like the black case silencer showed me at joshs LAN. With the Burner that looks like a blank plate that was a nice MOD.
i know that the decision would be made on the days/night however the reson i suggested it was to encourage ppl that dont currently have mods, to put some time in and come up with some decent looking box's that might/will look better than skullshot's

I suggested that for Morb 3 but was met with an equally unenthusiastic response.
we'll see what happens, but who wins the prize, the owner of the modded PC or the person who modded it?
/me looks at smurf...
The prize should be awarded to the person who did the mod because it is an award for effort and creativity, not for paying someone else to do it. You would have to decide on some criteria for judging the mods, obviously one of these would be how cool the mod looked. But I suggest another criteria be how creative the mod is, how original and different to what others have done. Many people simply mod their cases in exactly the same fashion as everyone else, but I think we should encourage modders to develope their own ideas.
If you want to award the owner and not the modder you could include it as a judgement criteria, bonus points to those who did their own mod.
the judging crtiera should be based on who made it rather than who ownz the case however, some ppl might have sold their case 2 someone else  what do we do ??
since PC Case Gear is a sponsor of MorB y dont they judge the case and award a prize ?? that way they r free from bias and they know what looks good
still things like this r only a matter of ppls decision eg. i might like my case and hate urs but urs still wins cos they think it looks better
i was actually considering asking pccg for their take on this idea...
stay tuned..
