LAN Of The Damned - Details

Ok the LAN Of The Damned is officially on, though there has been a change of venue. The details are listed below and feel free to encourage anyone to come. People wishing to attend should e-mail either me (clawcity@beerlover.com.au) or Munch (ferraltool@hotmail.com) with their:

INFORMATION
Date: 19th and 20th of October 2002
Time: 1pm Saturday to 4pm Sunday
Cost: $10 per seat - please bring correct cash as change may not be available.
Venue: The Warrnambool Business Centre (Fletcher Jones), Raglan Parade Warrnambool.
Max people: 30

- If enough people attend then some pizza will be provided.
- There is a snack and drinks machine available downstairs.
- Kitchen facilities are available with urn, fridge, tea, coffee and milk provided.
- Network cables will be provided but please bring your own if possible.

RULES
- Headphones and quiet speakers please - no excess noise.
- Please remember this is a business centre.
- No littering because a bin will be provided.
- Smokers please place all butts in the ashtrays downstairs out the front.
- Everyone please bring powerboards and extention leads.
- Please set your IP addresses to automatic before plugging into the network.
- No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises, if it is LOTD will confiscate said alcohol for the clan after LAN party.

We will be running a PC with Server Query to display the games currently running on the network. This will be projected onto a wall so everyone can see it and be aware of what games are currently available to join.

If however you wish to start a game not supported by server query there will be a whiteboard supplied so you can write it up manually. For games such as Warcraft 3 & Starcraft where all players must join at once I suggest giving 5 minutes warning before beginning to allow other players the opportunity to join in. For example write up "Warcraft 3 - In 5 mins", then rub off the "In 5 mins" when you actually start.

if you wish to turn up please notify either my self or clawcity please dont just turn up and assume there will be a spot vacant, because we are on very limited space and we dont really want to be in a position that ppl are bitching at us because they cant get in because there is no more room.

so let us know and we will return your email saying that you are booked in.

Finally the LAN Of The Damned map has arrived. I admit it's a rather badly drawn map, but hey I have the artistic talent of a man with no arms. The map shows the location of the Warrnambool Business Centre and the entrance via which we'll all.......well enter.

For the intellectually challenged the entrance is shown by the large red arrow, directly opposite house number 29E. The funny looking brown thing is an irritating speed hump. For the seriously confused we'll be entering via the back door as a warm up for a day of butt raping and shooting people from behind ;)

Once inside the building simply follow the convenient arrows that will be spawning around the building over night, or the sounds of nerds revelling in carnage. The room we'll be occupying is up the stairs on the first floor. It also appears the front doors will be locked so all smokers will have to go out the back where they can place ALL butts in the shiny butt-out bin on the wall.

Just a notice to all that registrations for the LAN Of The Damned are now closed. We have reached our maximum of 30 seats and will not be accepting any more people, if anyone missed out all I can say is better luck next time. And to those who have registered, I look forward to seeing you there and will make every effort to pop a cap in your ass :D
