Concerning the xp 60hz fix for the Nvidea based cards ...when u apply it and attempt to enter a game of BF1942, it just crashes to desktop, after reInstallation of the drivers all is fine but it reverts back to the 60hz eye bleed..

re-apply the refresh rate fix and it happens again..very annoying..maybe someone has found a fix.I am using the 40.41's with the refresh rate fix ver 2.0 also used a little prog to get rid of the 30. files cos they apparrently conflict, www.guru3d.com supplied them all other games are working fine.

waiting for the 15mb BF1942 patch maybe that will fix????

mine eyes are bleeding argnnnnnn:(

the 4x.xx drivers apparently aren't all they are cracked up to be. A lot of people have been having problems with them. Sounds like another ruse by nVidia to me to get some of the market back from ATi... i think the 30.82's are the safest bet atm.. (I think that's the ones...)

I'm using the 40.xx drivers atm, but from all the stuff I've read about their performance in the UT demo especially, I'm gonna roll back and see how much better it looks after that.

I posted before that my score went up by 800 or so but what I really wanna know is whats up wit da refresh rate fix an bf1942..

I just tried it on another system and the same thing happened he was running 30.xx's and refresh rate fix farcked it up.

theres a setting in the >BF1942/settings/vide0????????.??? cant remember exactly where cos im going of da top of my head but u can change a line like

renderer.allowallrefreshrates 1

maybe this has something to do wit???

but I think the 40.xx's are fine.

23.11s here and I cant run bf1942 at any higher than 60hz either, I had to limit 1280x960 to 60hz with nvrefrate cos all my other refreshes are maxed out (1280x1024@85hz, 1600x1200@75hz etc) - originally the game wouldnt start cos 800x600 was set to 140hz (not 60)

so yeah if yu can find that line shadow that would be great, cos it sucks to buy a game then find that it wasn't just the demo that was limited to 60hz...

and that patch better be ****ing good, cos the game as it stands aint worth the money I paid for it.
