Sorry [D]anny, but the Morb Forums do not encourage any sort of piracy. It's very naughty. I'm sure a Moderator will be along shortly to lock this thread. You should try a lesser forum to find such info. :)

Huh? It's a legit question cyco, to a degree.

You can download the whole SP2 seperately if you don't want to run it through Windows update. Of course, you'll need a legit version of XP to install it..

Yeah u can google SP2 and find the Offline install files. However as always it does do a CD-Key check an u will need a legit CD key before it will install. Also microsoft will send u a Free CD with SP2 on it if u ask for it (They really do. I actually held one in my hand an it only took a week)

I would recomend to anyone that if ur going to a LAN to have SP2 installed or a good firewall program as worms and viruses do get spread at lans.

I guess I'm just assuming he didn't have a legit copy. Most of the places I've seen a copy of SP2 weren't legit ones either so...
anyway, it's out there if you look for it.

i've also heard there is a patch to stop the new Windows Advantage doing that CD check but i wouldn't know anything about that now.

okay its no big deal, ignore any mention of legit versions, its totally not relevant to the specific question asked, the most obvious reason for asking is because the poor bugger is on dialup and can't wait 10 years for it to happen thru windows update

so go to a mates place with dsl and download from the above link. the sp2 is freely available no restrictions on the download at all! sheesh!

Or ask Harvey Norman, MS supplied them with freebee give-away discs to use, I got one from them, went round to PC-shop and got a second. HN had like 2-300 of the sukas from memory.
