8 port switch..?

im lookin at gettin an 8 post switch in the next few days and atm im lookin at the Surecom EP-808X-R 8 Port 10/100 N-way Switch for 80 bucks, as im not that educated on switches or hubs i need advie on the best sort to get for round the 100 dollar price range

I've got one of the surecoms and they work pretty well. the next best was like twice the price.

Same here, i've got one of the older model surecom's (2 rows of diagnostic LEDs) which I bought just before these new ones came out... (by just, I mean like a week)... I'd assume the only difference is the way the statistics are displayed, and my switch works fine functionality wise, even with the crappy realtek NICs and the uplink to my 10mbit hub in the other room.

Similar deal with the cost too, Netgear stuff was around 2x the cost at the time of purchase...

i have a hub, i will accept a donation of any switch that you believe is inferior...
