Well, what can i say?

Sin City, based on Frank Miller's graphic novels about a corrupt and noir city blasted into the screens recently. Upon goin to see it in Cairns last week i have to say i was utterly impressed by the work that went into it.

The guest director you see at the start is the (EDIT) modern king of gore Quentin Tarantino, for those who dont know who he is think Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Res. Dogs, etc... So you know form the start that this movie will be special, and damn guys, it really is.

Set out much like the books in short story form is flows easily and quite unobtrusivley between narratives about cops, psycho killers and whores, not to mention the great and almighty carnage of bloody and mayhem along the way.

Starring quite a variety of people from Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba and Elijah Wood (who plays a mute killer who rapes and murders whores and eats their bodies, feeding the bones to his dog), this from beginning to end is a very clever, witty and oddly comical movie along the same rope as Kill Bill mentioned earlier.

A great variety of filming techniques, the entire movie being in black and white except fro a few parts, muhc like the graphic novels the film is based on. some great use of cinematography all round.

Mind you, the stroy does involve a lot of gore, blood violence and occasional scene which made even me churn in the guts. I'm not going to ruin it for you, but watch out for a certain character going postal with a hatchet, really great bit!!

Not all is about the blood and guts, there is a story which i dont really feel the need to get into, as the movie itself makes it very clear for you, but be aware that it isn't for the faint at heart and you shoulgn't take ure gran to see this one, coz it makes even the most toughest guts squirm.

5/5 from me, back to the news desk!

i saw it today, it was SO FRIGGEN AWSOME it was so cleaverly done the way they made the color in this, Kevin how ever had the creepiiest grimase on his face once all his limbs had been hacked off by that tanky dude dont ya recken?

the good thing about this is how its based on the graphic novel, and so every shot in it you can picture it been in a comic sort of thing, hard to explain but if ya seen it you will know what i mean

kevin was just plain creepy, really, just creepy, the whole movie was blue screened, the only real things in the entire movie were the front ends of the cars they were in and the actors, hows that for some random knowlege, glad to see u enjoyed it tho

yeh if ya talking about random info, i was real pleased with my self when i found out that when i was looking at the credits you know when that guy the big tanky one put the head on the priests table and the priest goes oh kevin had a voice of an angel, well that priest was frank miller, i seen his name in the credets as what ever the priest was called

ribs you know your my dawg right? shit bro your totally caine , but king of gore Quentin Tarantino? i don't think so.

If Quentin Tarantino made a film about a bear shitting on nun for 2 hours straight you guys would hate it because it would be boring? no because its the only thing that he has done which he has'nt ripped out of another film.

i like some of his films for sure but i dislike him , if people like his films then thats cool so do i but it gets a bit boring whenever he does a film people are like FUCKING HELL TARANTINO OWNED NINJAZ!

Rant over.

On topic im looking forward to seeing Sin city but alas i don't think we will get it in here in Warrnambool.

the new zombie film is Land of the dead starring Dennis hopper mutha fuckers.

ok for you i wnet and changed it, heisn't the king of gore anymore, he's the modern king of gore, mainly because in the recent years imho i reckon he is unrivalled in his gore-pushing...

on other notes, the official King of Gore is George Romero, i'm sorry cuz if u diss that, but personally, he started it all and nothing can top it!
