they couldn't very well hold shafted 24 without having number 23 now could they.

well it is already all entered into the calendars on ausgamers, so maybe they will just skip it :P

btw everybody it was sols fault shafted 23 got cancelled, he was bragin how he got in and i didnt and went a jinxed himself.... and about 400 other people

little inside info straight from the horses mouth (one of the head admins at my uni...)

Shafted 23 was canceled due to issues with electricity regulations. turns out that the government arent happy with the current set up and any future lans of this size need official power regulators monitoring both the main power usage and the usage for individual computers...

hopefully this issue can be resolved before any more shafted lans get canceled (especially BDI!!!)

I thought it was the government electrical education thingo

ie not LANs directly, but any electrical devices used on-campus of a government owned school/facility has to be certified and checked to not leak electricity or have faulty leads.

this would be a major prob for shafted @ latrobe due to the fact that every pc 240v cable would need to be checked as well as every monitor and PSU brought in, not to mention shafteds own gear in terms of switches, the arcade machines etc, as well as their breakout boxes (I believe shafted own these).

in such case it wouldn't be an issue for BDI as colonial stadium isn't (afaik) a government facility (or is it, just with sponsorships?)
