Post Ya feedback about the movie here,
I went and saw it yesterday (30th), and rekon that it was realy good. The special effects were Great and tom cruise wasent to bad in it. i woulda liked to see a better ending tho

yeh, i saw it too, there needed to be way way more humans killing alians, it was good but id of rathered it an all out war, and when it says war of the worlds i thought it may of been about 6 other planets than earth than just one, i got a bit puzzled at the end with how the shields on the big strider thing went down, anyone help me there?

I downloaded a 1.28gb Xvid version of it on Wednesday, off a Torrent, in 2 hours and 40 minutes =)

It was alright, some bs about it though. IE The guy "Robby" i think his name was, runs off with the army, and theres a huge explosion, how the **** did he live that???

maybe he made a cocoon of dead bodies or something, i dunno it was f'n gay ahy how he survived it, its like making a movie about jesus and jesus not dieing at the end

omg, ure serious right? if you yungens had even bothered to read the book, or listen to the radio play, you'll know that the humans didn't win, Earth did, in the book the aliens weren't adapted to life on Earth and died, the human didn't diddly squat. the humans didn't fight back, the heat ray just dissolved them when they got near.

omg again brudda, yeah jesus dies, but not at the end, he comes back to life after being dead for three days, AMEN BRUTHA. So any movie with Jesus in it shouldn't have him dieing at the end, coz that would cut half the stroy short...


a bad movie would be Tom Cruise playing Andre the Giant, omg, think about the hilarity!!

What a waste of a gig n' 1/2.
The story doesn't follow any real flow, just banging around avoiding shite, no major progression then less than 5 mins from the end, bam! look! oh wait i must have blinked, it's over!
That is a part of my life that i will never get back, and could have been put to better uses, like booze!

And that has to be one of Tom's crappiest efforts.
Don't get me started on that Dakota shite. How many times does one kid scream, just slap her and shut her up!

got it in one, the book is good, the cd is good, da movie is shit.

i wasnt overly impressed with the story line.

but i dont understand it... who plants massive robots in the ground and then destroys half the planet and then dies. what is the point?
all the earth had to do was hide till they died.
i thought the ending was shabby as well.

there was not enough elephants in the movie, by that i mean those walkers that fired photon cannons at people and made them sorta.... um.. like.... disapear or somthing, cool movie tho. ending was interesting but not cool,

watched this the other nite, it was interesting to watch, and entertaining enuff, but with such an indestructable force as if one family is going to get thru the whole thing unscathed esp when ur at the foot of the desintegrato-alien monster thing!!

i dunno about the book, does it follow the same storyline closely? the ending i think is very clever, but it definitely isnt explained well enough why they died, all they had to do was have a scene with some scientists testing some dead alien thing to discover they caught the flu or whatever..

i'd agree with phoenix on the score, thats pretty on target, its not the sorta movie u walk away from goin "wow" :D

the strom didn't happen in the book, it was a meteor shower that the aliens came down in, the story in the book follows a british doctor.
it explains more in depth how the aliens die, being here for thousands of years, the humans had become resilliant to all kinds of disease, including the common cold, this bacteria however could be a lot stronger than we realise, seeing as we have had so long to adapt to it, the martians, had no idea that this was going ot effect them so much and all got sick and killed by the common cold, amazing!!
