The PCI-E thing was kinda expected... Not many new cards will support AGP anymore.

true - however i think that while PCiE is cleary a viable technology - it will still take some time to take off the ground the way manufactures hoped. the general consumer ~ while still relitivity clueless to begin with, has absolutly no idea what PCiE is.

back a few months when i was looking at getting a new system, i looked at the PCiE option, however took the "safe" route - a standard mobo. the technology was still new and "scary" and i didn't want to possibly waste money on something that was possibly flawed. now i wish i have had gone down the PCiE path....

u took the agp line coz u didnt want to pay for a new vid card man :P

they arent going to make new fast cards and release them on agp now tho - they needa bring midrange stuff in for those nubs that havent upgraded from agp yet, force us all over to pci-e to play beef2 :P

Is the 7800GTX worth $920 ????????

jury is still out for me on that one. Do i go ATi 850 and wait for Crossfire or 7800 an hope the new offering from ATI ain't up to speed ???
