I finally got around to picking up the long over due Doom3 game for my xbox and decided to shoot my thoughts off about the subject to you peeps in cyberspace.

Doom 3 the title itself is this games biggest draw and maybe its downfall. You see the title you think new doom YAY but its still pretty much the same old doom from before is that a bad thing well depends on if your a doom fan or not.

The new added features are some new foes , lovely graphics , some new toys and a slighty new storyline.

There are other new features in this game but they are nothing to new.

I thought doom3 was a interesting title (Doom is always ok in my book) while it did get a bit boring at times and i skipped some levels if your a doom fan then i say i pick this title up and see what the forces of hell are up to these days if not a big fan maybe rent it before buying i give it a 8 out of 10

PC version was enough to turn me off. Game ran fine, but the gameplay / graphic combo annoyed me.

After a while, it simply became too predictable. Walk into room. 2 choices - walk around, lights go off, enemies come... or see item, get item and trigger enemy to come / burst out of somewhere. Sometimes, they even combined the two! The lights turn off when you get the item and the enemy spawns :)

While the duct-tape mod made it bearable, it still wasn't much. From an engine perspective, it was good. But they really needed to add some original content. ;)

How'd the controls work out on console? Worthy of playing?

Hey beefy sorry for the late reply had to go to work , the controls on the xbox are fairly good expect cycling through the weapons can be a bit of the pain in the heat of combat
