Whilst i'm sure there's a host of people closet lusting after Samus, i'm more interested in what's recently come out into the open; Metroid Prime 2::Echoes.

The first installment of Metroid Prime on GC was beautiful. The way Samus moved, and interacted with the environment, the sheer smoothness and flow were simply divine. Even the GBA version Fusion seemed to flow abnormally well.I always associate a clinical feel to the metroid series, which was certainly maintained in the GBA version Fusion, but Prime brought with it something new. The well constructed environments were as masterfully constructed and equally breathtaking as scenes from ICO. There were moments when the game moved slowly and time came to a stand still, but it seemed more of a blessing then a hinderance, giving the player an opportunity to take in the surroundings which are so frequently overlooked by younger gamers who take them for granted.

And when it comes to Echoes you'll be delighted to find that nothing has changed for the worse. Feel confident in buying this game with the highest of expectations. There's also a light and dark element to Echoes, which bought back memories of 'A Link to the Past' (for some reason). Dark Samus will keep you on your toes and you'll also be deliciously surprised by the new arsenal newly incorperated with the old.
More to do in a different world, with more stuff to blow up other stuff. There's a host of new ghouls and a couple of the oldies.
The Echoes storyline certainly isn't some over milled, in depth Japanese linear saga, but then again no Metroid ever has been.

If you're highly appreciative of games like ICO you already have a reason to buy Echoes without even considering the gameplay.

The gameplay is perfect once again and you can attribute that to the sheer smoothness of movement (you have to love that 3D morph ball view), and the camera cannot be faulted the least bit.
There's also a multiplayer option (another first) but unlike zelda: four swords you won't be loving it all that much.
The maps could do with a little enlargement but consider it a mini game and take the good with the bad. It's certainly perfect for relieving some aftergame frustration.

I haven't seen a copy of this game around Warrnambool, maybe some loser beat me to it. But i made the drive to Geelong Game Traders and got it from there. You'll be stuck paying around retail price if you're not thrifty and choose to buy the game from Target/K-mart type stores.
