I've been playing through this one for a little while. Haven't finished it yet. Not a real bad game, could have been done a little better though.
Plot Summary. You and your wife die in a car crash, your wife ends up in the afterlife, but you are stuck between heaven and hell. To get yourself into the afterlife, and back by your wife's side, you have to defeat the armies of hell.
Pros:
Undead!!! Undead everywhere. Kill them, kill them all. You've got everything from zombies, to skeletons and just about anything else you can think of. Clawcity might like the game due to this.
Weapons are not too bad. Every one of your weapons has a secondary fire. The rocket launcher, for example has a chain gun as the secondary fire. You've got 5 weapons, each with their own secondary weapon, so u basically have 10 weapons.
Every enemy you kill, they leave a soul behind for you to collect. This restores 1 unit of your health. Also could be considered a con, because it can make the game a little bit too easy. Although apparently on the hardest setting (Trauma. But you have to finish the game on Nightmare before you can play the game in Trauma mode) there are no souls to collect.
There is a mode in the game called Demon Morph, where if you collect about 65 souls, you temporarily morph into a demon. While in this mode, nothing can hurt you, and you get to go on a little murderous rampage, where you just rip your enemies apart.
Cons:
AI can be pretty bloody stupid. I mean really, they are meant to be hell's friggin armies, but they have no tactical skills at all. They all come running at you, some of the time in single file, and you can easily mow them down without them even touching you. Zombies are hiding on the ceiling, which is cool enough. But instead of dropping down behind you, and scaring the crap outta you, they just wait there, until you look up, and then blow the crap outta them.
Lighting could have been done much better. They could have made it a lot more darker in places, have enemies jump out at you.
Ummm, sound I didn't really take much notice of. Could actually be a con, now that I think about it. Sound and music wasn't really scary, didn't have much in the way of scary music, or scary sounds to make the player want to turn around quickly, just to see if there's a nasty little bugger sneaking up on them.
All in all, it wasn't great, but it wasn't all bad. I had a bit of fun playing it, and will play it through to the end. I give it 6/10
Multiplayer mode, it has got, but I will give a report on it, as soon as I try it out in multiplayer. I got another PC that I could run it on.
Lengthy post. Sorry. My bad.
