View Full Version : Radeon Catalyst
I have a Radeon Vid Card and i was woundering if there was a way that i could check the version of the installed driver package that i have on my computer?
right click the desktop, properties, settings tab, advanced, and in the top bar thingy itll have the little name code thingy..
thats not true on my card...
go where apple said and under the options tab it lists teh catalyst versoin there, well thats where it does for me :P
I dont use the catalyst anyways :P
You both should try the Omega Drivers, They are based on the Catalyst, but have optimisations to give a better Image Quality and a better framerate :)
They can be found at the link below :)

hmm
when was the last time you updated them?
If its more than a month, just update em anyway, as ATI release one set of drivers a month...
EDIT: go to run, type "dxdiag" then go to the Display 1 tab, then itll be in brackets next to the name of the card....
the omegas dont do that great a deal of extra power.
ati have 4.9beta out now. bloody pulling drivers out their damn arses those guys
Depending on your vid card, I'd just recommend the 4.8s...
omega drivers (based off 4.7 cat) are good gave me a marked improvement over the beta 4.9s thx for that apple :)
Do the Omegas offer proper support for AIW cards?
www.omegadrivers.net <-- dunno ave a look :)

Just to annoy you, the ones based on the 4.8's have JUST been released :P
So I just noticed.
Boy, do you think I could d/l them on a 56k dialup??
Hell no. In fact, whenever I connect to the net it's always around 31.2k to 33.6k. Usually get d/c about every 2 mins. It's a joke. Connected with Datafast/Eftel, whatever they calls themselves these days.
Waiting for Westvic Broadband to get wireless out my way. According to the website that should be sometime over the next 12 months.
I'd go ADSL or something, if I didn't live about 30kms out of Warrnambool.
Since I'm currently at TAFE, I'm going to start d/l some stuff. Like the 4.8-based Omega Drivers, and a BIOS update for my PC. I really think it needs it.
Gots to be ready for LOTD VII!!
Ah, the benefits of broadband.. :) Only thing I have to worry about now is my 50GB cap, which I seem to hit every month.
So do i... but there's just so much other stuff to get. :)
yeah, it was a bad mistake for Telstra to bring those in. I looked around at some various post on the net and their is a lot of pissed off ppl at telstra regarding this RIM.
i have a 32mb ddr raedeon 9000 its fair gnarley for a laptop
