Well, I watched this last night... and I must say that I enjoyed it more than the first one (which I liked).
Storyline was great. It kicked along at a faster pace than the previous one. Still plenty of obvious and subtle humour through the movie (A depressed Puss-in-Boots at a bar saying 'I hate Mondays'... very Garfield-esqe :) ), as well as a few 'action' scenes. Ran together nicely.
Visuals are an improvement on the first too. The main characters have been spruced up a little (if you look closely enough) but some of the new characters are very well animated. There were seriously times where the animation bordered on realistic, which is a credit to the guys at Dreamworks.
Sound / soundtrack were superb again. A nice ending with Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderes) and Donkey (Eddie Murphy) doing a cool Ricky Martin cover. ;)
All in all, if you liked the first then you'll probably like the second even more. Recommended for everyone to see.
3.9/5
