View Full Version : A New Venue

Just lookin around for some new venues, and right under my nose for the last 15 odd years is the Old Collegians Clubrooms, Davidson Oval. I haven't completely sussed the place out, but I reckon it would be an ideal place for a LAN. I dunno if it has the right power, but I know it has a kitchen and a bar, not to mention the carpeted floor *grins*. I feel this could be a good venue, if ya want, you can suss it out for yourselves, I could get a price for you, I'm related to the president, and pretty much everyone there. so yeah, if you have already looked at it sorry for wasting ya time, but otherwise you might wanna look at it, nice sized too!

Ahh yes Davo is going to be the place that is called HELL in the next few weeks due to exams.... a LAN may make that place feel better. In exams there can be about 3 classes so about 50-60 people spread out in exam conditions.

For tables they probably would have to be hired as i think the tables are those crappy round ones. And you should bargain with your relative for a real cheap price - for free??? That is if a LAN is planned there.

From memory costs about 350 (i think) and they supply the cleaners.

The room is about. 25-30meters * 12-15Meters

yeah 3phase too!
and yeah, I could pull strings (AKA: (ya not gunna like this) Steve) and he could get some of the tables from accross the road, also, prob wouldn't get it free but possibly cheaper.
BTW Scythe, there aint nothing wrong with the round tables, you can fit 8 ppl on them easy. I had a LAN last hols with one of those tables at home and it worked fine.
thats all,
IT'S OVER!!

Yeha!
Nah, we're thinking of holding a LAN some time next year, do we get the equipment off MorB or do we have to get our own, we could organise getting it for a weekend, after footy season, only downside, the place is very reguarly booked out, its pretty damn popular, and even then, they usually hold big assed bar meals during the colder months, if i book far enough ahead, i'd be able to get it easy and yes, they do supply cleaners, we can supply tables (AKA Brauer tables we use at MorB LANs).

So if Skull or whoever else can give me some info on the equiptment that would be great!
