New Ideas for LANs

Here are a few ideas for LANs tell me what ya think

RPG/RTS Lan

Uncommon FPS LAN : A lan where we DON'T play stuff like DoD/Quake3/BF1942 but instead go for stuff we never play like Navy Seals/Natral Selection/Raven Shield

OPERATION FLASHPOINT LAN : Cause this games rocks an needs heaps of time to play.

Co-Op Lans : Where we only play games in co-op mode agaist AI.

Over 18's LAN : No little kids cause we be gettin drunk.

Retro LAN : Yeah this ones where we get out those Old Sckool games.

Some good ideas there man. I especially like the over 18 LAN :twisted:

However the idea of RTS/RPG LANs has already been put forward by Tholian who is working on one as we speak, naughty naughty taking someone elses ideas BL.

Some more good ideas, at least these have shown some originality. But blatenly comeing into a thread that someone has already started and takeing the idea right out from under them is just "down right rude!"

Man if u wanted to host the LAN then do it. Don't raise the idea here at MorB an exspect people to wait around. If you ask for a lan don't be suprised IF SOMEONE HOSTS IT

What about just a car racing lan? unless no one would be interested in that?

I was not asking, if you read my posts properly you will see that I was offering to organise specilised LAN's here in Warrnambool and was posting to see if the interest was there before I went ahead and did anything about it.

From your example I could turn around the next time a Morb event is announced and decide to organise a LAN of the same preportions at the same time just to completely undermine what you suggest is just an idea. Not that I would ever do so because Morb LAN's are already well organised and great events and apart from that IM NOT A PRICK.

Some shits had a lan on the same day as our last one, but it was probly for the better given we nearly melted the fuse box anyway, that hall was gh3y.

a) stop whining, this is two threads now about you whining about these specialised lans

b) the idea doesnt belong to anyone, if someone wants to run a lan good on them, who fucking cares if "i thought of it first" or "i clicked submit first"

c) why does it matter who runs a specialised lan ie RTS, if its run its run and as long as ppl know about it and have the opportunity to attend then it's all well and good.

d) you havent set a date yet that i can see amongst ur incessant whining so how exactly can you compare it to you setting up a lan at the same time as morb?

e) if u did set up a lan at the same time as morb i know where most ppl would choose to go.

besides, it's not like he patented the fucking idea - nor is it such a fantastic idea that people would actually pay for the rights to it - it's simply a lan idea - not something worth as much argument over as he's making - sure BL is an asshole for doing, as per usual, what he's done in taking someone elses idea for his own, but FFS how much whining is one willing to commit just to point out this most heinous(sp?) crime.

If i had an idea for a lan (big deal) and someone else went ahead and ran it, so what - it's not like my entire social status or something equally distanced depends on who runs the idea. I'd just rest assured in the memory that my idea was good and that thankfully everyone is benefiting from my idea.

BL, how often does sKs actually have any input in these LAN ideas and such that you claim as being from MorB, or "we" implying "blord and sKs" anyway - most of the time he seems blissfully ignorant of your evil plans until the time they are actioned...

THE only reason I'm organising this "combinedArms" Lan is because an exellent venue with 3 phased power was handed to me on a plate.

If the comp was planned (and from what everyone saw on the forums, it was) then the servers to run it should have been planned also. Any reason for failure to supply or obtain the servers to run this competition and hence dissallowing the competition itself would then seem to lie on you - especially considering the amount of servers generally offered for use by MorB.
