Bad Company 2 bugs and fixes.

it seems to me that there are a heap of people playing Bad company 2 and i was wondering about what bugs people have encountered and how or if they fixed them.

1. Crash to desktop: an old EA favorite (will never be fixed)

2. Black screen in game HUD still shows menus are fine . no idea on how to Fix (if anyone suggests drivers I'm going to poke them in the eye)

game has so many issues its almost not funny.
not everyone gets them though.
i get more server browser/kicked from game issues than anything. the odd graphical glitch on some maps/levels in SP, and a few times in SP had the screen go totally grey until i restarted the level (from the last save point, argh..), which has put me off SP for now

I have zero issues, I bet 99.999999999% of the problems are down to user error or having a shit computer/firewall/internet

the most common error's im getting are the black screen to which only the hud displays. and the game crash that causes VPU recover to kick in.

both of which from what i'm reading are being suffered but a lot of ATI 5xxx series card owners.

if that were the case, we'd see the same story repeated with every other PC game.
some of them could be those, though. a lot of the fixes are related to simple things (remove beta, open ports, update drivers, change a few things here and there in settings file, disable some of the graphics options, try dx9 mode etc..)

and ive experienced some of them myself. the one munch is describing with the screen going except HUD aswell (but only ever happened in SP for me), and a couple of actual CTDs with the VPU recover kicking in.
rare i get the game breaker issues though. just the shitty server browser like everyone else..

its like most battlefield, and i guess, EA games though.. it might come good after a while.

it mostly works fine, though.

I just find it really hard to understand how many people have problems with it. I had the beta, installed it and it worked. I installed retail and it worked, beta is still actually installed on my PC. Maybe I just have a good combo? Intel/Nvidia?

Never had to open ports or forward them..

or maybe your just fortunate your the only person that i have spoken too that Isn't having at least one or more problems.
