I think we've become addicted to the new Blood Bowl (http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/) PC game created by Cyanide. It adhears impressively well to the Living Rulebook 5.0, though it only includes 9 of the available teams. Unfortunately undead was not one of them, but I'm holding out hope that they will shamble onto the scene in a later patch. The game includes one star player for each race and many familiar teams such as the Orcland Raiders. You even get game commentary from Bob & Jim :)
The graphics are very well done and I've certainly enjoyed actually being able to see my Black Orcs pummeling Elves into the ground or watching the crowd kick the crap out of some poor sap who got pushed off the field. Aside from the traditional turn-based mode of game play it also features a real-time mode. In real-time you can either give your players instructions on-the-fly or pause the game and do it before unpausing and watching them run amok. Touchdowns are scored much more quickly in this mode and very high scores are possible. Call me a traditionalist, but I actually prefer the turn-based mode ;)
Aside from playing competitions against computer teams, a range of multiplayer options are available including LAN play. Unfortunately multiplayer leagues are only supported via the internet and other multiplayer formats are simply one-off matches with no level ups or team progression.
There is however a web-based league utility (http://bloodbowldigital.com/index.php?option=com_bbql) on Blood Bowl Digital that allows you to run a league via LAN. This utility handles the draw, ladder, team progression and level ups. In order to utilize it someone must be able to access the internet between rounds to upload match reports from which level ups and ladder positions are determined.
Amusingly enough Cyanide were chosen to develope the game because of their success with their game Chaos League, a thinly veiled Blood Bowl rip-off that resulted in legal action from Games Workshop :)
