Games For MorB 5

I thought I'd get an early start on some game servers for MorB 5.

So Far I'm Thinking of:

DoD V1
NS
OFP
BF1942
MoHAA: Spearhead
Quake 3 (Mabey some Mods for it too)
Raven Shield
UT2003

I *might* bother with a CS server...................

So If ya wanna play it suggest it an I'll see about it.

Being LOTD it's my duty to suggest MOHAA and MOHAA:SH :twisted:

And shouldn't this be in the games section BL?

What about... Enter the Matrix? does ne one know if that will be multiplayer? i cant remeber if it is or not :-/

will enter the matrix be released by then...? i didnt think it would be out for a while ..and a dedi for bhd would be nice butthere are other games that would have priority

It really luck of the draw i think..
there are a heap of good games that will most likely be played. a few that people are thinking of playing and some that are just not worth it. i think we should all just come with the games we have and figure it out then.

yes thats a good idea winter, except if we play some new game where no-one knows how to run a ded-server for it, then ppl have to put up with the lag of a down-level non-dedicated hosted game of it, usually that takes away from a games enjoyment if per-say u r getting a ping of 150 on a lan!

this just gives us an idea of what we need to look into..

I really want to play that with heaps of people at a LAN, of course I doubt anyone else would want to play it...

Yeah there will be very vrey little chance of dedicated servers for new stuff cause it's hard to get them running right. If you want to play something new then u just have to host it urself.

If it's really good an heaps wanna play then there is always the chance that we will run up a server on the fly

now i've got a leg to stand on processor wise I might be game to try hosting some of the non-ded games again (for the first time since... sheesh, forever)

So what are the chances of a ded for Vietcong?

I'm with the 'tic... I'm looking forward to lots of DC. Although I installed UT2k3 recently again with my new vid card. It's a lot nicer now that it doesn't jerk all over the place.

I hate it. Its got shit graphics and there are so many glitches in it. I prefer Splinter Cell.

Sorry but there MIGHT be lamers an CS kiddies at MorB (We need them to help pay for shit) an I'd rather run a dedicated CS server than have them stuff the networking up with there shitty little servers.

Oha smal note here. At MorB we will be requring people to ask us 1st before running there own server. We are sick of providing servers only to have people start there own because they don't like the map or want FF on/off. If u wish to run a server for a game at MorB u will need to run it by us 1st. That way we won't get 3 or 4 servers playing the same game.

should have that in a list of rules. that are sitting on a bench somewhere.

also, when u say "run thier own server" do u mean "run another server that is already there" becuase i'm sure there will be a few games that ppl will wish to play, but u guys dont have a server for, and i'd bet u dont want to be asked every 5 mins if someone can get some UT mod server (for eg.) going...

yer basically we want ppl to come ask one of the admins about a server if they want a game played or the current server settings changed..

Since I believe i'm going :) YAY!, I'd probably Be only wanting to mainly play DOD and Vietcong... Maybe a few others tho

hell. i'll even organise a comp if sks is up for it :) i'm sure i'll be able to find some prizes somewhere? what are ur suggestions if a comp was to go ahead? 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, FFA? who would be interested? get enough interest i'll pass it on to the holy man himself or he might just see this post ne ways :)

no need to get too excited about it yet..

a starcraft comp makes it nearly worth my while to make a 10 hour trip into a strange city to go to a lan. No FFA comp, cause then the limits hit when everyones cowering in thier bases an the games just sucks.

err but dude you injure people over a game of starcraft - that sort of behaviour isn't appreciated here :P

Starcraft is on, hope we can get a tourney happening, nothing beats the good 'ol game. I still don't get why it never won GOTY, unless it did, it WAS released 7 years ago, damn, time flies when you grew up in the Nintendo generation, MOOHAAA!!

haha, nerds speeing to or from lans have a nasty habit of getting policerized. And even though morb5 would be the best i may take a miss given its full.
