LAN Of The Damned XX - The Aftermath

That's our 20th LAN over with. Congratulations to all our prize recipiants, particularly our competition winners. The Call Of Duty 4 comp was won by Iceman who received a shiny trophy and a 2GB DDR2 pack from Crucial (http://www.crucial.com). The Jedi Academy comp was won by The Master who received the shiny trophy, with the prize of a 2GB DDR2 pack thanks to Gigasoft IT Solutions going the the runner-up Nova Nero.

very big props to the boys for holding a great LAN. Good to see people line up to get beaten by us in Left4Dead too.

Had a blast, prolly the best fun I've had in a long time, it was good to see some new faces too and see so many people getting into it instead of leeching.

The comps where good fun, Jedi was wicked and COD4 was well, COD4. I stayed for as long as I could and was glad to catch up with people I rarely see now that I'm away from town.

wasnt as many people as i expected but still some good fun. CoD4 went pretty good as it always seems to do. didnt get into jedi academy unfortunately. looked fun though. once again, JT and the crew held a great lan.

hmm yeah played my first games of COD4 multiplayer, have to say i enjoyed it quite a bit and even won a round (not in the comp tho mind you), usually ranked in the top 5 which i was pretty proud of lol

filled my HDDs to the brim..
had issues with l4d, and steam in general (needs a reinstall)
was totally knackered and slept most of sunday, missed going to the speedway like we'd planned.. ah well.

had a good time AAAA+++ HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!!

nah havnt bought anything from ebay in 5 years+, stopped after i got ripped off a couple of times. strictly stores for me..
prices on there for a lot of things are same or worse than a store anyways

It's just your post gave me flashbacks of eBay feedback. I wonder, do the number of + signs used really make a difference?

What was the headcount?

highest I saw on the intranet was 40, but that was earlier into the night

I think 40 was about as far as we got, which isn't bad considering there were 50 registered.

the suckiest bit is that its such a massive place that you could almost house 100 fools there , if they can actually provide enough tables :S

yer we are still trying to work out exactly what to do with all the extra space at the end of the hall, I suggested sumo suits but we decided there were to many public liability issues 8O, rest assured we will come up with something.
